Oh my gosh, I don't even know where to start....I am literally shouting from the rooftop that you need to have Elan by your side throughout your pregnancy and birth whether you are a first-time mama or have gone through birth before! Elan's personality is like being enveloped in a warm hug and she is such a genuine human that being around her gives you a sense of calm when talking about your pregnancy and your hopes for what you want for your birth plan and story. She listened to what we wanted for our birth, asked lots of in-depth questions, and never once made us feel judged for our wants and desires for the birth plan. When I went into labor, Elan stayed on the phone with us and talked me through my contractions until she got to our house, and for the following 12 hours, she stayed by my side the entire time, helping me through contractions, applying counter pressure and at different points, gently directing my husband in how to best help me. When I was not having contractions, it was like hanging out with one of our really good friends. We swapped stories about our families, talked, walked the neighborhood, and laughed. Elan truly made the entire experience of laboring at home, a joy. When it was time to go to the hospital, Elan helped my husband set our car up so it was comfortable, and when we got to the hospital, she continued helping me through contractions and was fully hands-on when it was time to push. She took the most incredible photos right after the birth that my husband and I absolutely cherish and also wrote a very detailed birth timeline. My labor and birth was such a phenomenal and positive experience, I am forever grateful for Elan. Had we had not had her, I truly think the outcome and experience would have been much different. My husband and I cannot recommend her enough!!!!!!!
