Being an alone and scared first time mom without any family within 1,000 miles of me, I was encouraged by my sister to hire a doula. During my consultation with Emily, she asked what l was looking for in a doula. I told her I wanted someone who would feel like my sister to support me and educate me through my pregnancy— and that’s just what Emily did for me. Because of Emily, I never felt alone during my entire pregnancy. Emily provided me with a wealth of knowledge surrounding pregnancy and labor/delivery and was always available to answer ANY question no matter how silly they may have been coming from a first time mom. Having this constant support gave me so much peace and confidence. Emily was my biggest cheerleader during labor, advocating for me and providing me with comfort and reassurance. I’ll never have a baby without my doula by my side!
