I write this while I lay next to my sleeping 3 month old baby that Kristin helped get here earth side.
When we first met Kristin she had a very warm presence that followed her all throughout our meetings, my labour, birth, post partum and beyond. As first time parents we didn't know what to fully expect but you could count on Kristin to answer your questions and cushion any concerns. She was the most valuable during my labour as she supported both myself and partner physically and emotionally. Having her calm voice and confident reassurance helped guide me throughout the unknowns of labour. She pays attention to detail from remembering our preferences from our questionnaire and you can tell she is passionate and loves what she does when her face lights up when speaking about her job.
When the big day came I felt very supported having her answer my 3am calls. It was also helpful having her make suggestions on positioning and pain relief during labour as I was so in the moment my brain couldn't think on what to do next.
We are forever grateful for Kristin's supportive doula services during this very special time in our lives. I can't imagine going through all of that without her.
