From the moment I met Julie I could sense her warm and confident personality and it felt so comforting to me as I prepared for my third c-section. Having someone like her in my corner while in such a vulnerable state meant the world to me. I had a traumatic birth experience with my first child so I had a tremendous amount of anxiety and Julie was there to emotionally support me every step of the way. She came a couple days after my baby was born and she supported me by sleeping next to me in case I needed anything. From 9pm-6am she timed all my pain meds, she would wake when my baby needed feedings, she took care of all diaper changes and would stay up and rock my baby whenever she needed extra time for burps. Everything that Julie did those nights allowed me to get extra rest both physically and mentally. She was incredible. So attentive and she felt like a friend that I’d known for years. She’d fold the baby’s laundry, she even made me an immune boosting tincture that still make whenever anyone in the family isn’t feeling well. I always think of julie. She is full of wisdom and was so patient with me when I felt insecure or doubted myself. Julie has an uplifting spirit and that is exactly what every woman needs when giving birth and post partum. We love Julie and she will always hold a special place in our hearts.
