Jaime was our birth and postpartum doula, and she was a source of great comfort for anxious first time parents! She is both a calming and knowledgeable presence, and I honestly cannot imagine having to give birth without her. My husband also appreciated having her in the delivery room to give him some time to rest and to take the lead on labor positions and such. It felt really special that she was present for both the birth and our first days at home. At home, Jaime made me a sitz bath, assisted with breastfeeding and pumping (crucial in those first days as we had no idea what we were doing!), and taught us how to & helped with mounting baby tasks (sanitizing bottles, laundry, etc.). I was especially nervous about baby carrying and she was really helpful in making sure both of us were doing it safely and ergonomically. Overall, Jaime made our transition to parenthood much easier and we're so grateful to have had her help.
