We would choose Jackie again and again! From our first pregnancy meeting, we walked out confident in her being our doula. She is so warm and aims to really get to know you and your wishes. All through pregnancy she was there for anything I texted her about, always responsive, knowledgeable, and supportive. We were planning an out of hospital VBAC and loved her additional training she had to support VBAC births. Come labor day (little did we know yet), she responded to my texts promptly all day, checked in on me, made suggestions on what could be going on and what I could do, and correctly suggested when I should head to our place of birth. My husband was glad to have her to call on our car ride as things intensified quickly, and she met us at our place of birth and jumped right in to create the atmosphere she knew I wanted, giving quiet encouragement, fanning me off, giving me sips of water, and so importantly helping to support and encourage my husband. Her counter pressure and pouring water down my back during pushing were SO helpful, and she got right into the water with me to support me right! She made sure all the wishes on my birth plan were respected at all times, and somehow while doing all of this she took amazing pictures!! She stayed a while after the birth to help me get settled, get food, and get off to a good start breastfeeding - this was all invaluable! Her support continued for months postpartum, checking in with me and being another mom ear for me to bounce things off of. Jackie was everything we could have asked for in a doula. If we have another, we would choose her again in a heartbeat!!
