I cannot express how grateful I am to have Laura join my husband and midwives in helping me cross the finish line and make my natural birth come true. During our initial visits, Laura gave me the opportunity to reflect on how I experience pain and communicate my vision for my "ideal birth experience." These conversations proved to be instumental for my labor experience, as I didn't feel like I had to "tell" Laura what I needed during a time when I needed to be inward and focused. Laura did a fantatsic job of honoring my wishes and helpiung to provide actual relief from the most excruciating back labor I could imagine. Right when I felt like I couldn't go on any longer, Laura and the midwives would come up with a new idea and a new plan of action, ultimately bringing me to my dream birth. I'm so grateful that Laura took the time to coach my husband through ways he could help as well. We both felt so empowered by how much of an active participant he was during the birth, and I truly believe that Laura was the one who gave him the opportunity to show up the way he dreamed of. 4 months later, we look at a beautiful growing boy and still can't believe that we were able to bring him into the world the way we did. We both couldn't feel more blessed.
