We were looking for a doula who would help advocate for the unmedicated birth we wanted, and knowledgeable about the current evidence. Rebecca was just that. When we first got in touch with her, we knew we needed a new provider to have the birth experience we were looking for and she helped us find the right place (in the third trimester). She was very responsive and spent a lot of time with us pre and post birth getting to know us and answering our many questions. During the birth, she was a supportive presence, who knew what we wanted and when to speak up to make it happen. Our baby needed immediate attention after birth so she stayed with me while my husband was with the baby. She was very reassuring during this time, made sure I was updated on what was happening, made sure I saw our baby once more before he was taken to the NICU, took our first family photo, and feed me some cookies to get some energy back. I’m confident that Rebecca made our experience significantly more positive than it otherwise would have been and we would recommend her without hesitation.
