Daniella was an absolute godsend for the birth of our son. Throughout my pregnancy, I always knew I wanted extra support other than my husband especially since it was our first birthing experience.
Upon meeting Daniella, her warm and conscientious demeanor immediately put us at ease. She was extremely consistent in the way she treated us as if we were her own family, and she took care to understand all the nuances that our families brought to the table. We all know how complicated families can be.
We continued to get more comfortable with her as time went on, especially after attending birthing classes that she teaches at reputable hospitals in our area. It is clear that birth is her life's work, and her calling is in the L&D rooms.
When it came time to actually go into labor, she was there at a moments notice, and was an incredible soundboard for me to ask those last minute scary questions to, when I didn't know any better myself. Our 'plan' didn't go as planned, we had to get induced when that wasn't something I wanted, but she comforted me in knowing that was the right move. And she helped me find my voice when the hospital staff had a hard time administering an IV. During labor she made sure that I was hydrated, fed, as comfortable as possible, and that my husband and I were well informed of the happenings of what was going on and the progress we were making.
Once our son arrived, she made sure we were comfortable, that he latched, and all our questions were answered. My husband and I plan on having more children, and don't plan on doing it without her. Not only do I tell all my friends they need a doula in the birthing room, I always send them Daniella's contact information. She truly is incredible, and we can't thank her enough.
