With only a few months left, we interviewed multiple doulas and Natasha stood out the most to us. She came off very warm and soothing. It didn't dawn on us how well she was prepared for our interview until a few doulas later as well. She made the hiring process very easy and began answering our questions immediately.
I felt very comfortable reaching out to Natasha myself with my own questions. She would always back her opinions up with credible sources and also give another side as well. I have a very inquisitive personality so this fit me very well.
Natasha and I became the best team I could of drawn up for my wife. We had worked so hard on what our birth was going to be and Natasha helped us set that in motion. My wife is very reserved. She does not easily open up to many people, especially quick. She was calling for Natasha like they were family. Natasha was very pre-emptive with her work. Water always ready for my wife and myself, back presses on call, breaks for breakfast and lunch, and helped me focus on what I needed to be focused on, my wife.
As the father/dad in the birthing situation one of the toughest issues I faced was not feeling like I can help my wife enough through her toughest journey. Luckily I had Natasha there to help guide me and give me the tools I needed to succeed for my wife. I found myself holding my wife's hand and talking to her instead of running around getting water, rubbing her back, and doing the much needed chores of birth. She also was the only teammate I had to tag in so I could eat and drink. If not for Natasha reminded me of this I would of not taken a food break the entire time. She really was looking out for the both of us the entire time.
I cannot recommend Natasha enough. She has become someone we will never forget and I encourage you to make her the same. What she does for women/mothers is beautiful during the hardest time in their lives. I think every mother deserves a doula as good as Natasha.
