We are so grateful we found Shaina for postpartum doula support--she became part of our family! From our first consultation ahead of the birth of my second son, Shaina was warm and knowledgeable, always empathetic in listening to and offering her guidance for my concerns about the fourth trimester. Once he was born, Shaina swooped in like a real-life Mary Poppins! She continuously offered strategies for caring for our newborn as we got to know him--everything from how to trim his nails to the best ways to soothe him--and nonjudgemental support for me whenever I doubted how things were going. I was so grateful for the way she always asked me, "What do you need today?" And then she would help me get it, whatever it was!
It was clear from the beginning how comfortable my son was with her, and she was great with my toddler whenever he was in the house as well. I just can't recommend Shaina's support enough. We survived fourth trimester because of her: with her support I could attend to and feel more like myself, making me a better mom day in and day out, and for that I will forever be grateful.
