Lauretta was my doula for my first child, and she was absolutely amazing in supporting me and my family during labor. Upon meeting her I could tell how excited and passionate she was about being my doula and supporting me during my pregnancy and labor. I was impressed with how well informed she is on hospital procedures, and she helped me form a great birth plan during our prenatal visit as well as give me sources to help me make decisions about after birth procedures. During our prenatal visit she also practiced some natural pain relief techniques with me, and coached my fiancé with how to implement them as well, which were extremely helpful managing my pain during labor. Throughout labor, she made sure I drank water and used the restroom, and also helped to advocate for me while I was in labor and made sure I gave consent for any interventions that were performed. I had a long labor and she was very attentive to every need I asked of her the whole time. If you are looking for a doula and someone who will advocate for you and support you in every way during labor, I highly recommend her!
