Words cannot describe how thankful I am for Emily and her knowledge and support throughout my pregnancy, during birth, and even AFTER I had my son. She will always be an important part of my birth story and will be a person I will never forget. I was scared to give birth for the first time and she was so calm and encouraging throughout the entire process which lasted over 32 hours. She never left my side. She never stopped checking in and coaching me and my husband on what to do next. She was my quarterback for birth and there's no one else I'd rather have in my corner if I ever have another child! Solely because of her, my birth went as smoothly as I prayed for during those long months of pregnancy. And my husband felt supported and seen by her as well - offering suggestions on how to get involved and giving the green light to leave the room during slower moments. I'll never forget looking at emily and saying "I can't do this" and her telling me "you already are!" I would have been lost without her and thanks to her, my birth and recovery were an incredible experience.
