We had the best experience with Grace as our doula. I was a second time mom trying for a VBAC after my first labor with a different doula resulted in a c section. Grace had great advice on what providers would be helpful to help me achieve my VBAC goal and to have a healing birth experience. I felt like my providers I had during my first birth were disrespectful and really impacted my postpartum experience as well. I struggle with anxiety at baseline which was made worse by pregnancy, a traumatic first birth, and a prenatal diagnosis of a lung condition. Grace was so helpful during my pregnancy, encouraging me to do the work with the right people on my team to really prepare me for a better experience the second time around. She helped me to find resources to provide me with the best preparation both physically and mentally. She was amazing and helped me navigate a multi day labor with respect for both me and the team. She knew how to strike the balance of encouraging me and my team towards my goal while maintaining her professionalism. She included my husband and collaborated so well with the hospital staff. I am so happy that I had Grace on my team and know I wouldn't have achieved my goals without her. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone questioning whether a doula would be helpful to them.
