2,000 characters is simply not enough to describe how incredible and life changing it was to have Katherine as our doula. Our consultation was informal and felt more like I was having a conversation with a knowledgeable friend. She immediately made me feel at ease and encouraged me to talk to other doulas to find the right fit.
When we did decide on Katherine, she was quick to schedule our next two milestone appointments but made sure to let us know that if we have any questions to reach out. She was even so kind enough to send check in texts and provide insight/advice.
When baby girl decided to arrive spontaneously, Katherine was communicating with my husband and making sure that she was in the loop on updates and timing and even let us know other options that weren't immediately highlighted by my doctors. She arrived promptly and took the lead when my contractions became too intense. My husband and I will be eternally grateful for her guidance during the process knowing what our birth preferences were, making suggestions where appropriate, and distracting me when I needed it. Even the nurses in the delivery room commented about how amazing it was to have an extra set of knowledgeable hands! When it was time, Katherine was hands on with getting baby girl to latch and making sure to capture all the sweetest moments in between.
Katherine also made sure to visit us during our postpartum period at around 6 weeks which was perfect as baby girl was entering her peak fussy stage. We got to debrief on the labor/delivery and she even filled in parts where I may not have been coherent or aware of.
Katherine is well worth her weight in gold and I highly recommend her services. I will be using her when we are ready for baby #2!!
