I came from a slightly rough upbringing which in turn made if difficult for me to receive guidance in certain areas of life. While it made a path for me to build endurance, in some cases I truly needed to be supported. I had my first child without this needed support and it was incredibly difficult. When I became pregnant with my second babe, I knew I needed to find it. Through a close friend I was told about The Birth Collective. Their experience was inspiring and made me notice what I was missing during my last delivery. After meeting the wonderful doulas through interview, the support was there and strong. My pregnancy progressed and as I gave updates, I was guided and encouraged the whole way. Every question and concern was answered with such care. It wasn't until I was approaching the end of my pregnancy that I noticed this wasn't just about pregnancy support. This was maternal support. Something I wasn't familiar with and craved so much. The Birth Collective provided something that my rough upbringing never gave. And through their gentle support, a bit in me was able to heal and bring more confidence to my pregnancy, my motherhood and my life.
