Joann Christensen is the most amazing doula you could possibly have! I cannot imagine anyone more perfect for the role. She is so warm and caring, and has the skills, experience and expertise to advocate for you in what was for me a scary hospital setting, especially as a first time mom. Her knowledge is incredible and taught me everything I needed to know about labour and delivery and answered all my questions in so much detail. She was an incredible support, going above and beyond before delivery as well as for the birth, she was the most amazing support not only for me but for my husband who took her lead and was incredible throughout the (purposeful) pain and birth. I cannot speak more highly of Joann! While it was the first time meeting her in person at the birth it was like I had known her forever, she is so warm and I feel she could connect with anyone instantly, she made me feel comfortable and looked after. I do not warm up to people quickly but Joann has the most caring, confident and trustworthy personality it was impossible not to. I hope you are lucky enough to have Joann as your doula!
