When I began my search for a doula during my second pregnancy, I was apprehensive. My first birth experience had taught me a lot about what I might need and what didn’t work for me, and I worried that finding someone who could meet my expectations would be difficult. My concerns were quickly put to rest when I met Lynn. From our very first meeting, it was clear that she was everything I was looking for in a doula and more.
Lynn’s warmth and kindness immediately put me at ease, and that sense of comfort and reassurance remained a constant throughout our entire time together. Her extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of pregnancy and labor were invaluable, especially when my son’s birth began unexpectedly with a long and challenging start. During those difficult moments, Lynn was a steadfast presence, guiding us through with her expertise as well as compassion. She provided the emotional and practical support we needed to make informed decisions, and she inspired strength when I felt like I couldn’t go on.
Without Lynn, I truly believe that achieving the natural birth I intended might not have been possible. She played an essential role in helping me avoid intervention, and she stayed by our side, empowering us through every step of the way. I am deeply grateful for Lynn and the integral part she played in my son’s beautiful (albeit long) birth story.
