We were matched with Jessica after our first doula was unavailable due to illness. Jessica came to our home and made us feel very comfortable as we are first time parents, she gave us tons of information to prepare us for birth and also became familiar with our birth plan. She was on call the weeks leading up to our due date and helped bring so much peace and calmness to us. The day of delivery she met us at the hospital as my labor was progressing quickly and I was unable to labor at home as planned, she was in the phone with us the entire drive to the hospital giving emotional support and guidance;truly the best cheerleader! She came into our room and instantly helped with techniques to assist my back labor and helped my husband to support me, making the room calm and offering tons of support options as I was not wanting to be medicated she had tons of pain relieve options to bring me comfort. We welcomed my daughter 5 hours later and I am so lucky we had Jessica there to walk with us through our childbirth journey. Jessica remained in contact with us for the following days and weeks postpartum and gave us guidance with swaddling, feeding and just really checking in on us as a family overall, coming back into our home to ensure we felt confident in our new role as parents and being very informative with our millions of questions. I can say I am beyond grateful to be matched with Jessica and feel so happy to have her as a part of our village, she brought so much peace to my birth experience and continued to bring joy into our home following the birth, I can't imagine going through this experience with anyone else. I would love to have Jessica be apart of any of my future births and I hope you consider her to be apart of yours as well.
