My husband and I feel incredibly grateful to have had Emily as our doula for the birth of our first child. From the very beginning, Emily provided invaluable support, offering classes that prepared us both physically and mentally for labor, newborn care, and even safe postpartum recovery. She took the time to get to know us, our goals, and provided us with tons of resources, always making herself available to answer any questions or address any concerns we had.
We opted for a home birth, which was an amazing experience, but knowing there was always a chance of a hospital transfer, having Emily by our side gave us peace of mind. Her guidance and classes reassured us that no matter the setting—home birth, hospital, or even a c-section we would be in great hands. Her calming presence made me feel at ease and confident throughout the entire process, eliminating any stress about what might happen.
During labor, Emily was calming and supportive of both me and my husband. She kept me focused, made helpful suggestions to keep things progressing smoothly, and ensured I was as comfortable as possible. Thanks to her thorough “Prep 4 Partner” class, my husband was fully equipped to support me both physically and mentally, which made a huge difference. The labor itself felt like a blur because of how seamlessly Emily helped everything unfold.
Even after the birth, Emily continued to be a tremendous resource for our family. During our postpartum visit, she offered practical tips that have been incredibly helpful with newborn care. We cannot recommend Emily enough. From pregnancy to birth and beyond, she made the entire journey so comfortable and reassuring. We are so thankful for her!
