Rebecca, now Auntie Becca is one of the most amazing humans I've ever met. She takes being a Doula to the next level. She asks all the right questions, makes sure you know and fully understand what is going to happen and also what could happen. Everything was a blur for me, my husband had to fill me in a few days later, I was still learning details weeks later. I chose to do a home birth, at the last minute I decided to add on a photo package and I was so thankful I did. My husband called Rebecca early in the morning and she was walking through our door in less than an hour. After 36 hours of home labor, we had to pack up and go to the hospital. Rebecca and my Midwife Ashley came with us, praise God. They napped in my room propped up against a wall before things got really hectic. I remember Rebecca waking me up to ask me questions, she had stopped the nurse from adding something into my IV that I had previously said I didn't want. She was watching everyone like a hawk, like a Momma bear ready to attack. I was very confused as to what I wanted and didn't want at that point, I was so exhausted and just wanted my baby to be safely delivered. Rebecca would calmly explain everything and talk me through it even if the room was in complete panic. She was the calm in the storm. I am so thankful Rebecca was allowed into the surgery room when I was rushed in for an emergency C-section. It was the scariest moment of my life but knowing she was in there to watch over everything made me feel safe. She made sure to get my placenta, ask questions, give direction, and capture it all with her camera. Rebecca is so much more than a Doula, she makes you feel like you've known her forever and you're a part of her family. I love her beyond words and pray she will forever be a part of my little miracle baby's life♥?
