Jaymie is a fantastic doula and I am confident recommending her to anyone looking for extra guidance and support during their pregnancy, labor, and delivery. I was feeling anxious about labor and what to expect at the hospital (my first pregnancy) and she educated and prepared me for the possibilities approaching my due date. I ended up going past my due date and needed to be induced, but Jaymie gave me plenty of ideas and suggestions to induce labor naturally. She also educated me on the induction process and what might happen.
The day of my induction she was available and checking in every step of the day. It was important to me to have an epidural free labor and she was critical in achieving that. She met us at the hospital when I was feeling unsure about continuing without an epidural. Her encouragement and guidance with breathing, movement, exercises, and positions during labor made me so much more confident in my labor experience. She stayed throughout labor and delivery until we were settled in our recovery room. She was such a calming and encouraging presence in the hospital that I was able to have the birth experience I truly imagined with my partner.
Jaymie continues to support us postpartum, providing resources when we struggled with breastfeeding and offering encouragement during the baby blues. We are so happy we have Jaymie as a part of our birth story and would recommend her to anyone looking for extra support in the pregnancy journey!
