I look back at my birth and have so many amazing moments that I will cherish forever. Having Sue there with us is a big part of the reason why. She was such a calming presence and we trusted her so much to help us advocate for the redemption VBAC I wanted to badly after a traumatic c-section with my first. I truly don't think I could have done it without her. She knew and respected my wishes throughout the unexpected whirlwind of labor and was such a guiding light during the chaos. She was also very supportive before and after my birth as well. Having a doula changed the day of my birth completely and I regret not having one for my first, but I'm so glad I had Sue there for my second!
