My partner and I were so grateful to have Mel's guidance through the birth of our child. We were not expecting to have a hospital birth, and things unfolded very unpredictably, as birth often does. Mel came to us as a backup, but was an incredible asset throughout the whole process. There were several instances where my partner, Matt, and my parents were unsure about the steps the hospital was taking, and Mel was there to offer guidance. Throughout the entire birth, Mel made sure to advocate for the things that I needed and check in on me up until I was out of the operating room. Very grateful for their presence during my labor and delivery- we would have been lost without them.
