As a "geriatric pregnancy" I was frequently encouraged to deviate from my birth plan in advance of the delivery. It helped to have Lola as a sounding board: she helped me consider the options and ultimately successfully stick to my birth plan . Throughout the time I was especially impressed how Lola balanced working with the doctor's recommendations and helping me advocate for my ideal labor.
Then, after the delivery, we ended up in the NICU. That was a change in our postpartum schedule, but it didn't deter Lola, who worked with her other clients to arrange a new schedule for us when we got home 2 weeks later. Having Lola home for overnight care was HUGE peace of mind for worried NICU parents and helped me get sleep as I recovered from delivery.
