We were incredibly fortunate to have Polly by our side throughout our long, challenging and very magical labor. From the first moment we met her, we knew she knew exactly what she was doing, and she immediately made us feel so comfortable and at ease.
A little background: This was our first baby, we decided to to have a natural birth and not to use an epidural (if possible) we wanted to stay at home as long as possible and then deliver our baby at Mount Sinai Hospital.
During the whole time she was always making sure we had the physical and emotional support we needed. Her experience and calm presence made decision-making easy, and we trusted her completely with the timing of everything.
Polly always suggested great techniques, tips and tricks and kept us informed so we knew what was happening, making us feel supported and empowered throughout the process. Even during the most intense moments, she knew how to lighten the mood, from playing music to getting us to dance, which made the experience surprisingly fun!
What stood out most was how she balanced being fully present while also giving us space to share the experience as a family. Her surprising ability to stay calm at every moment and confidence in taking action when needed were truly a relief.
She stayed with us through every step, and we’re so grateful for her kindness, fun spirit, and support.
