Lorie has such a serene and comforting presence. My family and I felt so supported by her. Once she arrived to my home during my birth she jumped right in to ask me what I needed. She started massaging my back while I was in the water and noticed where I was having the most pain during contractions. After the midwife checked my cervix she was able to communicate to Lorie the position of baby's head. With Lorie's expert knowledge in Spinning Babies she and the midwife were able to discuss the best Spinning Babies technique to use to help move baby's head into a better position and assisted me in making that happen. Lorie and my husband took turns being my birthing partner. There were times where my husband would be assisting me and Lorie was making sure I had a drink nearby, working to add more water to the birthing tub, or getting cushions to help prop my legs out of water. Lorie was very attentive to my 8 year old son who was also present at the birth, and she made sure to call him in the room when baby was being born. Before leaving after the birth Lorie made sure that I was comfortable and had everything I needed, she also helped my husband drain the birthing tub and take it outside. I believe that Lorie helped me to have the beautiful birth experience I wanted and I am forever grateful for her loving support.
