Choosing Evana to be part of our team was one of the best decisions I made in my birthing process - next to deciding to grow our family and my OBGYN. Right from the start Evana becomes family. She listens first to understand, and then shares her very personalized recommendation and point of view. Most of all, Evana was calm, cool, and collected throughout labor - but straightforward and direct in her quick decisions, which made all the difference in my delivery. She knew what I needed without my knowing (things I would've never thought of, like how to help me calm down and lower my heart rate between contractions). She also knew all of the methods to increase movement to turn a 'sunnyside up baby,' when the rest of the team was sure I'd need a C-section. I'm forever grateful to Evana for understanding and supporting my birth preferences, for helping me to make sure they were written in a way that would resonate in a hospital setting, and for doing everything she could to help see them come to fruition. I only wish I had met Evana for my first delivery, but sadly we did not live in her coverage radius at the time.
