My husband and I wanted a doula's help as this was our first pregnancy and we didn't really know what to expect. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, the original doula we were paired with was unavailable while I was in labor. Jessica stepped in and provided a smooth transition advising us via texts and phone calls while I was in early labor at home. When we arrived at the hospital I was admitted right away since my labor had progressed quicker than anticipated. Jessica had a previous engagement since we were a last minute addition to her schedule. Despite that, she rearranged her schedule to be at the hospital as soon as she could be. Once she arrived, she jumped into action guiding me, encouraging me, optimizing my baby's position and ensuring I was as comfortable as I could be. I am so happy with my labor experience and consider myself very lucky to have had a smooth labor. Without Jessica's knowledge and care my labor experience would have been very different, so I am very thankful for her help and support. If we have a second baby, I will be reaching out to Jessica.
