After our incredible experience with Brittney as our doula, we decided that we don’t ever want to go through birth without one. As a first time mom, I felt clueless about many things. I wanted to have a natural vaginal birth with minimal intervention and was nervous since I wasn’t able to get a midwife. Brittney reassured me we could achieve this despite having a hospital birth. On the day of delivery, she quickly joined us when my contractions became hard to speak through and helped me labour at home until I was about 6-7 cm dilated. Which meant I could get a room immediately despite how busy the hospital was. She provided useful suggestions for pain relief, breathing techniques and positions for labour then pushing. And reminded me of my goals throughout to ensure I was able to achieve the birth I wanted. She even kept holding my hand despite my iron grip! Haha. Brittney also captured the entire labour and birth with pictures and videos that we can now look back on. My husband and I are extremely grateful and look forward to our next birth with her!
