For my second birth I knew I wanted a doula for a more peaceful and gentle experience. I was very selective who I invite to my birth space this time so I interviewed a few doulas in the area. When I met with Jess I knew right away this is the person I need. She is very detail oriented, caring and knowledgeable person who has very tool with her that you might need before during and after labor. During prenatal visits she really wants to know mom as a person and it makes a big difference when it comes to how she shows up to each individual birth. During my labor Jess created a very soothing atmosphere with candles and music , fans to keep me cool and gentle music that helped me relax in between contractions. That calm, collected and supportive presence helped me to focus on my body and baby. I ended up having a beautiful 5 hr labor and a home birth I always wanted. During our prenatal visits we discussed our goals and we met every single one of them! It was amazing. Jess made sure I’m set for a successful postpartum with proper hydration, food and breastfeeding guidance. She is always available for any advice or question during and after birth. And her photos are beautiful! I love my maternity and birth photos and looking forward to newborn photos as well. These are the memories I will cherish forever!
