I'm SO glad I was able to have Jill as my doula! If you're considering hiring a doula, you won't find anyone better. Jill's great reputation among this community precedes her; when I mentioned to my acupuncturist that I was going to be working with Jill, my acupuncturist sang her praises and assured me I was in great hands. From the start, Jill was very attentive and communicative. She responded promptly when I inquired about her availability to support the delivery of my baby and was able to meet with me virtually for an interview. During the interview, Jill answered my questions and reviewed her credentials, trainings, her approach, as well as her experiences working at the hospital I would be delivering at. I felt from the beginning that her friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable approach was the perfect match for me and my husband. When I let Jill know I also planned to have my mom join me and my husband in the delivery room, she also encouraged my mom's participation in the meetings before birth. She reviewed infant care basics with us, and supported us in organizing a birth plan that addressed our preferences. When the delivery time came (my son was early!), Jill was communicative and met us at the hospital where we had been waiting at triage. Jill supported me with rebozo movements, massages, and helped guide my husband with ways to help relieve my labor pain before I was able to get my epidural. Jill adorned the delivery room with lights and created such a calm, peaceful atmosphere for delivery of my son. When the time came, Jill helped prep me for delivery and managed to capture some of the most amazing pictures of my son's birth. I could not be more appreciative of the care and support she provided to us through delivery, and then during the postpartum visit where she checked in on how we'd been adjusting. Seriously, look no further than Jill if you're planning on hiring a doula!
