Char was absolutely amazing.
After talking with all of my baby-bearing friends the one thing I heard over and over was "Hire a doula. You will not regret it". I liked the idea of having someone consitent.. Someone present throughout my pregnancy and labor who not only knew me but knew how to explain what I want in a way that made sense to the labor and delivery nurses/ docs. Char came highly recommended by a family friend so I knew we would be in good hands but she exceeded my expectations. She helped me craft a birthplan that allowed me to feel as prepared as possible going into labor and was present throughout the night when my labor ended up going far longer than anyone expected. She has a great relationship with the L&D nurses at Genesis and helped me make decisions when things weren't going as I had hoped. Looking back, I have no regrets and would recommend Char to anyone.
