I couldn't be happier to have had Alaska as my doula. This was my first pregnancy, and I came in with a fair bit of anxiety. Alaska is extremely knowledgeable, with tons of educational resources on her website that left me fully prepared to handle the decisions that came up during labor. I appreciated the meetings we had before the birth, where we talked about everything from coping skills, to birth preferences, to how my partner could help support me in labor. During labor, she was an incredible advocate to help remind the clinical team of my preferences, and provided tremendous support with coping techniques and repositioning to help bring the baby down. I feel empowered by my labor and birth experience, thanks in large part to Alaska.
