Testimonial for Raizel Bennett

I recently experienced the birth of my second son with Raizel by my side. Initially I interviewed a number of doulas and went with Raizel for her extensive experience both personally and professionally along with the confidence that she exuded. I knew she would be able to help me navigate in a number of different situations that might pop up. Raizel has always made herself available to me and was easy to communicate with from the very beginning. Before labor she was a helping me ask the right questions at my doctor’s appointments to ensure I was getting the information I needed. She also gave tips ahead of time to help my body prep for birth. When it came to the birth itself she was able to coach me early on in the labor to help it progress after it was slowing and when she met me in the hospital she helped me with multiple pain coping mechanisms. I also appreciated her speaking up at times to say I didn’t have to do something when I was presented with options. She was able to offer options with no bias and let me make my own decisions. I was able to have the birth I was hoping for and was so grateful to Raizel for helping me achieve that.
