To start, Lola is clearly incredibly knowledgeable about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum needs like breastfeeding. Her expertise and ability to teach us the basics helped me and my partner feel more prepared going into birth and coming home with our newborn.
Lola also possesses deep care and compassion and immediately made us feel like family. The first prenatal visit she taught us coping techniques and helped identify gaps in our preparation for bringing baby home. At birth she anticipated our needs and helped us create the relaxing, fun and supportive environment we wanted for labor. And postpartum, the day after we came home with our new baby, Lola came over to check in on us — and brought lots of treats that helped us stay fed while navigating the first weeks of newborn life.
Finally, Lola also was incredibly organized and prepared at all stages of our work with her, which gave us a sense of ease and comfort even though this was our first child, and the idea of birth and postpartum felt very overwhelming before we started working with her.
We can’t imagine how birth would’ve gone without her and loved our experience working with her. Thank you, Lola! You’re the best.
