My husband and I feel lucky in every way to have been connected to Aimee and to have been able to work with her. Aimee loves being a doula and it comes through in every aspect of her work. She was incredible at holding space for us individually, for our new baby, for our family, for our relationship, and even for our home. We learned how to be parents alongside her, and I say alongside because she is superbly skilled at showing by example, responding, and mirroring, as well as encouraging and demonstrating parenting knowledge and skills. We had a very challenging postpartum experience with many feeding difficulties and a high needs baby, and Aimee was there for all of it. She went above and beyond in every way to help us through the passage and portal of creating a family of three as we learned how to hold space for the joy, for the tears, for what felt like insurmountable challenges, for play, for laughs, for the darkest and deepest of emotions. Aimee is so knowledgeable and comes with what feels like an endless fountain of resources in so many domains. She is especially versed in supporting the mental health needs of new moms and dads, and is incredible with a newborn and with kids in general. Her ability to help us navigate our unique experience of postpartum was an immeasurable gift for which we will always be grateful. We are stronger and better people having worked with Aimee. We’ve always wanted a cat but having one is not worth not working with Aimee.
