Heidy was an absolutely fantastic doula during our first pregnancy and we would highly recommend her services. From day one, Heidy brought a sense of calm openness that made communication clear, easy and reassuring. She was always available for any and all questions -- none too small! -- throughout the pregnancy. She made an at-home visit to help us walkthrough and visualize where in our apartment we could move through different labor positions to make my wife most comfortable, as well as showing us how to use our baby accessories (swaddles, carriers, etc.) that made me feel more comfortable with bringing the little one home.
During labor, she was ultra communicative and responsive as we labored at home -- suggesting techinques, counterpressure massage, positions and providing general guidance and assurance throughout the process. After several hours at home, she arrived at our apartment and helped us get our things together for the hospital. She was a vocal advocate for us during the in-hospital labor and delivery, and was a huge help in relieving discomfort and offering ideas to make us more comfortable. We cannot imagine going through this process without here. Her kindness, straightforward communication, and warm spirit shine through in everything that she does. Heidy comes with our sterling recommendation! We so appreciate everything she did for us.
