This was my second pregnancy and I was questioning whether I should get a doula or not. I learned from my first birthing experience that things don't always go as you plan, so maybe having a doula will help this time around. I must say that I am so glad that I decided to go with a doula, and that I went with Evana because she was incredible from beginning to end. Evana is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful every step of the way.
As with my first pregnancy, things did not go as planned. This time I had high blood pressure which was not something I was expecting or ever thought about becoming an issue. The doctors kept pushing for induction when I was not ready for that. If it weren't for Evana, I would have just followed doctors' orders and had the baby early. But Evana let me know that it was ultimately my decision to either go through with an induction or not being that the blood pressure was not a serious concern at the time. After buying ourselves some time, I eventually did end up getting induced. This was not my first choice but I started to become more and more concerned with the increasing blood pressure, so I felt it might be necessary to induce. I was terrified of being induced, since this was not the experience that I had with my first baby. But Evana helped me through it every step of the way. She helped me to be my best advocate throughout the process and I am so thankful for that. In the end, we had a healthy little boy who was full term (thanks to Evana!). I could not be happier with our experience with Evana. My husband and I cannot thank you enough for all of your help and support! If we are to ever have a third baby, I will absolutely be calling up Evana again!
