With Camille, I had the most wonderful birth doula experience. She’s the complete doula package: the endless warmth and emotional support of a close friend, as well as extensive, holistic knowledge about the total pregnancy/antepartum experience of a professional birth doula. She went above and beyond answering my (many) questions about nutrition, how to take the best physical care of my body each trimester, and what specialists to consider seeing for additional support. (Among others, I found a fantastic acupuncturist and pregnancy chiropractor that I still use regularly.)
When you first get to know Camille, her warmth and care for pregnant moms and new babies is immediately apparent. One of my concerns about having a birth doula with my hospital birth was needing this kind of emotional support, but also wanting a steadying, confident, firm presence to advocate for me in the hospital setting. I was completely reassured with Camille: she had a great rapport with my nurses and doctors, but always made me feel like she was there for ME first and foremost. I could NOT have completed those final pushes without her by my side!!! She was my angel sent from birth doula heaven. After delivery, when I was in the thick of it, Camille was still there, helping me give my daughter her first bath, preparing me healthy meals, and just being there to validate my zillion concerns and give me confidence I really needed during that time. (Another sidenote, I really enjoyed the tasty and nourishing meals/snacks she makes herself through her meal delivery service.)
Camille was my birth doula angel for my first baby, and now that I’m pregnant again, I couldn’t imagine using anyone else for my second. Love you so much Camille!
