Cait is the absolute greatest. I felt comfortable in her presence from the moment we met and liked her immediately. Cait helped me through every step: pregnancy, preparing for our baby, an incredibly difficult labor and delivery, and the fourth trimester. She is more science/information-based than woo-woo, but also emphasizes listening to your body and your instincts. For me, this was the perfect balance. The way my long, difficult induction went down, moreover, could have led me to feel traumatized and disempowered. Because of Cait's presence and guidance, however, I know I made the best informed decisions I could, and didn't let a pushy, aggressive doctor force me to take steps on her rushed, aggressive timeline. In processing my birth story, the sense that I had agency has been crucial in feeling okay with how things went down. I would not have had that level of informed decision making without Cait's guidance.
We also hired Cait for postpartum support, both day and overnight hours. It was the best investment I've ever made in myself/my new family. Learning from Cait set my partner up for so much success with our baby. At 6 weeks postpartum, I feel confident and competent with taking care of her without any prior experience with babies, and that is all because of things Cait taught/modeled for us in person, as well as how available and open she was to answering all of our questions via text or phone! The overnight support also saved me as I recovered from birth and many sleepless nights in the hospital. I am always happy and relieved to see Cait and now am passing her info on to every pregnant person I know. I cannot recommend her enough.
