When choosing a doula, a good friend told me to think about what I felt will be the hardest to handle during pregnancy and delivery. My main focus was a safe natural birth and I wanted someone to be a liaison between us and the hospital staff. Danieta was that and everything else I didn’t know I needed! She was calming, knowledgeable, personable and very patient. She checked in with me several times during pregnancy and months after delivery. Of course delivery didn’t go according to plan but I never felt pressure from her to sway me in one direction or another.
