We are so incredibly grateful to Emerald for everything that she did as our Doula.
As first time parents, we had a lot of questions and didn't know much about our options. In our two pre-natal sessions with Emerald, she covered basically everything that we did end up encountering during our birth! She had so many resources and did such an amazing job answering all of our questions and explaining everything we didn't even know to ask, including what to expect during delivery, options available to us, logistics we should consider, and what to consider for breast feeding. We never felt like Emerald was pushing her own agenda- she was truly just sharing our options and then allowing us to make decisions.
During delivery, it was so good to have Emerald there to remind us of everything we had discussed pre-birth. When we ended up having a C-section, we felt comfortable knowing we had tried all options and positions for vaginal birth, and this was safest for everyone. During surgery, Emerald was there to comfort me while my husband followed our son, so everyone was taken care of.
We can't say enough wonderful things about Emerald!! Her calm demeanor and kindness guided us through a very special day in our lives and we are so grateful to her.
