Testimonial for Saltwater Doulas
My experience with the team at Saltwater Doulas, and especially with Ashley Brittain, was amazing. I had a complicated twin pregnancy, and there was a single fetal demise that forced me and my husband to divide care between maternal fetal specialists in Boston and our OB in Portsmouth. I was worried about working with a doula who would be able to provide care wherever we delivered and who could also help us manage the rest of the now singleton pregnancy with knowledge, advocacy, support, and ease. I could not have been more impressed by how helpful, thoughtful, and attentive Ashley was with the complicated grief involved in the pregnancy and how wisely she guided us through the end of the pregnancy. I was especially astounded by the range of services Saltwater Doulas can provide for people unique to their pregnancy positions/needs (e.g., sibling support doulas, postpartum doulas, grief support, massage therapy, lactation support, etc.), as well as how well they are connected to other useful resources in the community (parenting groups, therapy, physical therapy, exercise, etc.). Ashley was an amazing advocate and support during the delivery of our baby Oliver. This pregnancy was sad and hard, and Ashley helped us get through it in a way that was enjoyable, joyful, fun, and healing. They are amazing.
