Having Nicole as our doula was one of the best decisions we've made and one we highly recommend to anyone starting their birthing journey. At first we weren't sure if a doula was necessary but decided to go with one as our families live in other provinces and we were hoping for guidance and support. We are so happy with the decision. Nicole provided private pre-natal education sessions with tailored educational resources (that we found matched our learning style and interests better than our prenatal class with another doula) that helped us make decisions about our birth preferences and feel more prepared. Throughout the birth she provided guidance to the birther and birth partner. She moved intuitively and discretely, being exactly where she was needed before we even expressed the need. Our labour progressed quickly and without Nicole it would have been scary but she provided reassurance and as a result we had a birth experience that, while very different from what we envisioned, was perfect. Nicole was available after the birth for post-natal visits and provided helpful baby product recommendations when we mentioned things we were having trouble with (e.g., cutting nails, sun protection). Nicole was easy to feel comfortable around. From a business perspective, Nicole was super organized and responsive. Thanks for everything, Nicole!
