There are not enough words to even begin to explain how grateful I am for Jen, Katie, and Mariah. They are a DREAM TEAM. The combined expertise and knowledge these three have is invaluable and I felt completely cared for and supported throughout my pregnancy, labor, and newborn stage. I had quite a long labor, so both Katie and Jen were there to support. Katie really helped keep me calm when my entire birth plan was thrown out the window and provided support in so many little ways such as suggesting new labor positions, bringing pillows, helping talk through next steps and being a sounding board for us to determine what options were available. Jen provided much needed reassurance to both my husband and me during our c-section after an exhausting few days of labor. She also helped us get as much skin to skin and start breastfeeding even though I was in and out of it following the surgery.
The huge benefit of having this dream team of 3 doulas is that you always feel cared for. One of them always seems full of energy to tackle any challenge we had, and each one of them as individuals is someone you want by your side.
In our postpartum chats, Katie and Mariah were instrumental in helping me process the birth and really helped to validate my feelings around the whole experience. Jen has been wonderful in providing assistance with breastfeeding and assuring me that I’m doing a great job. I always felt I could reach out with any questions or concerns, even after the birth. I would use them again in a heartbeat.
