When Chastity and I connected during pregnancy, I had no idea how much her presence and help would mean to my family and I. We expected this labor would follow my last 2 labors and be short but we were VERY wrong. Instead of a mad dash to try to grt here before baby arrived, she ended up helping my daughter bake muffins while talking about birth with her because things had slowed down when the sun rose. She stayed for 2 days to help with my 42.5 hour long start and stop labor, helping me try all kinds of positioning techniques constantly to get baby in a better position for labor to fully get going. She helped my kids process their feelings when they were confused, frustrated, and towards the end a bit scared. She gave my husband the support he needed for him to be able to support me, which he tends to struggle with during labor. She took videos that I will forever treasure of my 4th little love making his way earthside, and made sure my mom had a good vantage point on our video call so she could support me from out of state. I'm honestly not sure if my birth would have ended nearly as peacefully and happily as it did if she hadn't been there with us. She was everything I needed at any given moment... a fly on the wall, a helping hand, a firm hand on the hips, a listening ear when I was frustrated and overwhelmed several times.
