Marcia has been a good friend of mine for many years. Our oldest boys are adults now and are still good friends. When I decided to use a doula for the homebirth of my youngest son (who is now 12yo), of course, I would ask Marcia to help.
It has been many moons now since then, so much has been forgotten. But I do remember certain moments like her getting me outside to walk with the rain coming down. I think this really helped kick things into gear. Then during transition, the pain wouldn't stop and she helped me to lay down and relax, which took away the pain.
Marcia has been helping people for so many years now. It seems every time I see her she talks about how she was just at a birth in the middle of the night. Some how she just carries on with her life when she gets home. She is really made for this. You won't go wrong if you choose to have Marcia as your doula.
