Words cannot describe how amazing it was to have Mychal with us on our birthing journey. As someone who started out on the fence as to whether we needed a doula, looking back we realize we would have been lost without her. She is incredibly informative but also has a great balance of being fun and respectful and beyond supportive. It was a gift to learn from her leading up to delivery day and then when d-day occured, she was by our side through what ended up being an experience far from what we had planned. Working with us from the very early morning to after midnight the next day, throughout Mychal was caring, positive, and informative. She helped us navigate a complicated pushing experience and worked wonderfully alongside our OB/GYN to bring our little girl into the world. She was the best coach/cheerleader my partner and I could have asked for.
Additionally, she saved us (and our sanity) after our first night at home where we felt like we were truly in over our heads (plus our baby was dealing with a big latch issue). Like Mary Poppins, Mychal came over and spent the afternoon with us fixing all of our concerns and making everything better.
