Lily was such a blessing to have on my birth team. First and foremost, we share a love for the Lord, which was extremely important to me. We also shared a similar interest in a more holistic lifestyle, which was incredibly helpful in preparing for labor. Lily shared many useful tips and information that I used leading up to my birth. Lily checked in with me over the course of my pregnancy and was very responsive whenever I had a question or update. Lily was always kind and patient, even with having to work with me through a week+ of prodromal labor and going 3 days past my due date. Lily was irreplaceable during my labor. She reminded me to relax, breathe properly, and stay strong, even holding my hand when needed and making sure the birth tub and essential oils were ready to go. She suggested different positions to get me more comfortable as well as speed labor up. She helped immensely with making sure the hospital staff knew my birth wishes and making sure they followed them. She guided my husband on ways he could support me, and he later told me how grateful he was to have another set of hands to provide comfort and love to me during labor. I progressed extremely quickly, and Lily remained calm and professional, all the while cheering me on. She was even so thoughtful as to quickly grab photos and a video of my baby being born. These mean more to me than I can say, and I will treasure them always. They also really helped me process my birth as I reflected on it all later. Lily is more than a doula, she is a friend. I couldn't recommend her more!
